The Lady in Manhattan

From Frederick we fly east to New York over some amazing horse ranches.  In the distance we could see the New York City skyline appear on the horizon.  Today we are going to fly the skyline entering the Hudson River via the Verazano Bridge taking a right up the East River at Governors Island turning around at Roosevelt Island back down the East River and over to the Lady (the Statute of Liberty).  A loop around the Lady and north up the Hudson.  It is not every day you  get to fly along the New York skyline at between 500 ft and 800 ft, Cool!

WE take the whiskey route to Westchester were we meet up with Tommy, our polish buddy who we met in Japan and flew around Alaska with.  Tommy is putting us up for two nights in his Bronx townhouse.  He introduces us to his wife and daughter Julia who are off to Poland.

At around 4pm I head of into Manhattan to meet up with Ted Kenny at his bar Top Hops.  We catch up over a few beers before I head off to get a Pizza at Williamsburg Pizza take out, a massive but delicious pizza.

I make it back to the Bronx at around 10:30 and head to my room in the basement.
