Helping the RCMP on way to Key West

We arrive at Havana airport and met with Cristiano Ronaldo, or Jose as he called himself who sorted us out with customs etc.  During this process we met up with  Royal Canadian Mounted Police pilot who was having trouble getting away.  He only had credit cards and no cash, his embassy was unable to help him even though he was on a diplomatic flight, he couldn't pay his bill.  Theses Canadians are dumb!  I offer to pay his bill so that he can get out of Cuba.  He accepts, and agrees to meet us at Key West.

We call for clearance to Cayman IFR and are cleared home.  During our trip we heard the RCMP Pilatus pass us by, lets hope they stop in Key west to return our $850!

They did and this good deed seemed to help us in Key west with US Customs and Immigration.  One point to remember though is that we must stay within the Yellow lines at US Customs on landing!

We weren't in Key West long until we headed north to Kissimmee and Sunstate crossing over the Everglades.  We routed via Marathon and then turned north.  I am always a little apprehensive crossing the Everglades, this was not helped by seeing that only last week a C152 pilot crashed outside Homestead and was filmed by a Helicopter News Copter being eaten by Alligators!

We dodged a few storms and landed at Sunstate, kind of home, in a sort of way.  We were greeted by Steve, Mike and Alec.  Steve is a star and pays for our fuel which is supplied by Clyde from Signature, I knew Clyde from my instructor days.

Catch up with Steve and then we head of to my Condo in Celebration only however after we first have an interview with the local press at Sunstate, hopefully we will make the Osceola and Kissimmee Social Media just we did in Cayman, The FRONT PAGE.

At the Condo Peter does his usually and I sort out breakfast at Publix; Publix also happens to be near Mulligans, so I pop in and catch up with Anthony.

Dinner is with Steve, and his son Stephen, a pleasant lad of 13.  On our way to dinner I bump into Kevin and Debbie Bendell and Craig and arrange to meet them after dinner.  Maria and Lori only make dinner at the end and only manage a desert.

So after dinner we meet up with D & K at the town tavern and have a good old beer like the old times.  Peter heads of early with Lori!  Maria and myself stay out and talk to K & B, and other friends (I guy i used to play golf with and Sean and Gregg from the bar as well as Julie)Maria drives me back in the NEV and of to bed we go!
