The Home of AOPA
Frederick is the home of AOPA, so we changed our destination from Dover to AOPA, i was never sure of why we were going to Dover in the first place.
So we had breakfast in Raleigh, I woke up fine but was made grumpy by the breakfast server, she kept on repeating that we did not have breakfast included on our room rate (OK but do not go on about it), how are we going to pay, cask or CC i guess; just leave me alone. Because of this hassle I said it should be included since the pool was not operational and they should comp us breakfast, of course it is only one way traffic and they say no. The long and the short is that i did not pay for my $6 breakfast!
Our trip to Raleigh is pleasant and we land at the AOPA ramp on time and are greeted by Tom Haines. Tom shows us around the airport and the AOPA hangar facilities before taking Peter for a Haircut! Tom and I hang around while Peter gets his hair cut ðŸ˜!
At the Hotel I have a snooze before meeting Tom at the Breezers and we head of to Frederick City centre for dinner with Dave Hershman and his wife and a fellow around the worlder Adrian.
It is here that Dave effectively interviews us for the AOPA magazine, but we do have a pleasant dinner.
A good dinner is completed with a pleasant.
AOPA maybe I will win this years or preferably the next sweepstakes!
