Our Ground Crew Just do not Get it!

Hot Hot Hot Hot, and yes I know it is hot in the UK, but it is really hot here in Tucson, Az.  They are talking 112 to 120f!  We are fully loaded today, so it is a good time to check the helicopters capabilities.

We arrive at Premier FBO to get in the building but find nobody there.  We try a few doors and set of a few alarms, still no body turns up, I decide to phone them, the phone, rings in front of me, but wait it stops.  But hey it doesn't stop on my handset, it is ringing elsewhere.  It is answered, they are on there way, hey hey!.  These boys and girls are part of Million Air now so that is where they were.

We are cleared for lift from position at own risk, our ship dies fine at 6,500 DA, so no problems.  We follow the f16s that have just taken off (well follow is a little bit of an exaggeration, as two more pass us by as well crawl out, Tucson is the home to the largest National Air Guard in the US with 69 f16s).

So of to Chihuahua, we hope to take a picture of a smart bird with a little dog!

Eddie and Ahmed are pissed! I have upset them, I told the that the handling cost in Mexico is too expensive,.  The came back at me saying that I was accusing them of rip us off, I wasn't, I just said that it was too expensive and that from all my research we in fact did not need handling at all.  The guys want to let us be charged $4,000 in Mexico! I want and believe it should be $nil. We comprise on taking handlers on entry and let's see what happens.

Between Tucson and Chihuahua we pass the wall, there is actually a wall, but it suddenly stops east of Douglas.  We fly over real US desert and some great features.  As we approach Chihuahua we experience some real updrafts and down drafts due to the heat and mountains.

Anyway we land at Chihuahua and are greated by a great handler, we breeze through CIQ (immigration office was a hottie for an immigration officer).  We refuel smartishnand file for are onward flight o time..  The handlers were good!  BUT not for $700!  We could have done all, this without them!

We tell the boys to cancel are next Handler at Monterrey!

We head to Monterrey over more desert and some incredible mountain scenery, I never knew Mexico had such impressive mountain landscape.

Mid air we ares till told by the boys on the ground that we need to take handlers, I am getting really even more pissed now.  They refuse to listen to us who are present on location nor over helpful organisations.

We land at Monterrey only to be placed on the handlers ramp, we are caught, we have to play ball, another $600+ thrown away 😤

We are rock stars, well it seems we are, we are being treated as if we can afford a rockstar lifestyle.  It really is not what we want or what is necessary

Anyway we make it or e hotel and have dinner at the Italian restaurant next door, il castello,
