Catching up with Tomasz Wojtowicz

Nikolayevsk-Na-Amure was an old soviet location, it has not changed, probably in 30 years.  At the end of the day it was a great place see.  Getting out however was a little tricky, again we had no English speakers on the ATC, this was not the problem, the weather was.  The ATC, even though they did not speak English were concerned.  We however saw blue sky and decided to proceed.

As usual we were hit by delays, s when we finally took of that blue sky we saw had turned grey!  We were going to have to follow the river and, oh yes, pass through the grey stuff.  It was thin grey stuff so I ring was not an issue, but it was a thought.  It took us a few minutes to pass through, but we did!  Not for the faint hearted.  Once on top off to Okhotsk.

Okhotsk was a metal runway and apron.  Her we were greater by a great fellow, the airport manager, who made sure we were looked after.  He invit d up to his office and gave us tea, coffee and something else, cognac was not in sight.  On his wall was picture of putin and the governor of the local state alongside the Russian flag and state flag.  Pictures had to be taken.  This fellow was great as soon as we took selfies he would put on a stern and growling face, hilarious really.

Anyway of to Magadan and tomcat h up with Tommy.  Tommy met us on arrival and we performed our usual duties.  Tommy advised us to catch the bus into town which we did along with him and some girl called Inga, a local girl practising English.  She was an English student at the university.  Tonight we al went for dinner, my dinner was a complete mess and I ended up with only fries.

Luckily back at the hotel mysteriously chicken nuggets were delivered along with a breakfast pack.  Still not sure if Inga organised thus or if it was from the hotel, never paid any more for it.
