Wayhay Maylay, Thumbs Up

What a place, Langkaiwi and Kuala Lumpur, love it, what a change!  No immigration at Langkawi, landing and parking fees $30. Everybody supports Man Utd!  It is almost heaven.

The Smith Hotel is cool and i have my first swim on the trip.

We have to pay local cash,  our flight in WMKl was beautiful but we were unable to talk to tower until we made visual contact having passed the headland.

Waited for an hour for fuel due to rain. Fair enough.

After walking through customs etc. We went to the tower and discussed our plans and had a great old chinwag.

The hotel has a fab roof pool, used speedos for the first time on trip

Ok next day involved a really sceanic trip to SubanG KL.  we are finally in jungle territory!

Real pain flying though, cos they want us to make VRP calls (visual reporting point).  Of course neither of us no where these are, so we blag our way.

We land meet Trine (sexy Norwegian, not as sexy as Maria though).  The only sweat we have to today is through humidity and waiting for the locals to helps us out.

News is bad! DC did not bring my parcel! Swear word etc. Multiple. Plus some more.

Tonight we meet Trine Matt and James for dinner in KL after checking into the Dorset Grand Hotel.   This has been arranged for us by the Malaysian Experimental Aircraft Association as a cheep rate.  The MEAA are hosting us for dinner tomorrow night.

Before meeting up with the guys for dinner tonight I managed to screw my Tesco Credit Card up by using to an ATM in England, 😤

Dinner with the guys was a Chicken Vindaloo, and lots of beer.  James Greaves is an interesting individual who is from Blackpool and made good in Asia.

Day one of our rest day involved Peter and Dave carrying out the 100 hr service while Imseplt in and headed of the the Pretronas Twin Towers.  The looked incredible and offered awesome views of the city.

Dinner tonight is with the MEAA who are celebrating Uncle Bobs's 80 + birthday and still flying strong.  They are all a really nice crowd and fun is had.  I am little naughty as I ordered a dominoes pizza afterwards

Rest day 2 involved flying to Leica Hibiscus which is a four / five star hotel that boasts the most number of swimming pools in any Hotel.  The flight to and from the hotel is awesome and we are able to fly low level along the coast and down rivers and over spectacular jungle.  This when we get a chance to fly around the Petronas Towers.  We land at Tittywangsa, before heading of to the Bath caves and the ridge.  An awaesime day which is completed with Drink at Sid's Pub and dinner with Barry and his wife.  Barry is from Ireland and flies for James.

Rest dY 3 And 4 are really lazy with me watching loads of films on TV.  It may have been Lazy, but we have been going at for a month now.

Tomorrow we head of for our antipode, Palembang.
