Bonaire and Trinny
We have a short hop from Aruba to Bonaire with a good turn around for the onward journey to Trinidad, Bonaire was as windy as Aruba. In this region the wind is constantly from the east driven from Africa. Our headwinds today are some 25+ kts, this is going to add some time to our journey, our long ses journey. The winds may not be good but the weather holds for us as we enter the Gulf of Paria and pass the Dragons Mouth to approach Trinidad. So we have made it through Venezuela, we were unable to land, but we did see some of is spectacular islands and some of its main land. Enroute we pass the Les Roques, speactualr loogoons of the coast of Venzuala, definitely worth another visit.
The approach into Trinmy itself was uneventful but are clearance through immigration had a lot to be desired. We were parked on the south terminal apron, this is the GA terminal. All good you would think, but today is Sunday and Port Health, Immigration and Customs are not around, so two hours later we are escorted to the north terminal to clear CIQ.
Tonight's hotel the Airport Suites is a dirty cesspit, so not a lot to say here really, dinner will suffice but wasn't great.
